Job Description: 

SMERA is  looking for candidates in with good communication & interpersonal skills for their SME - Business Development Team in Mumbai, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh & Kerala . The candidate should be a graduate experienced in field sales / business development with a fair understanding of the financial sector . Business Development, SMERA Bond Ratings shall be responsible for:

  • Generating leads from various available sources
  • Meeting top decision makers of prospective and existing clients
  • Understanding their need for ratings and funds
  • Presenting various offerings of SMERA
  • Meeting bankers on a regular basis to share SMERA's insights on industry, financial markets, macro economy etc. and to update about the recent developments of SMERA
  • Meeting revenue targets and adhering to SMERA's policies
  • Updating daily activities through SMERA's internal sales workflow
  • Maintaining relationship with industry associations, and government departments
The candidate should be self-motivated, disciplined professional who love meeting people and can take pressure.

Job Description: 

The Team Leader - Business Development,  Bond & Bank Loan Ratings shall be responsible for:

  • Managing the Large Corporate team & business for Tamil Nadu region
  • Mentor, hire, train and ensure optimum team / regions performance in terms of revenue target achievement & increasing Acuite's market share
  • Originating high value mandates, pre-sales, negotiations, and relationship maintenance
  • Identifying prospective clients, generating new business from the existing clientele in line with business targets; mapping client’s requirements & providing best products to suit their requirements
  • Maintain and analyze the MIS
  • Oversee key relationships with lead arrangers, influencers and bankers
  • Develop and monitor client retention strategies for the region
  • Strengthen Acuite's brand as an analytical organization through visibility in financial markets through seminars and regular interaction
Desired Candidate should have:

 

  • Good command over language (English, Tamil & Hindi), and pleasant personality.
  • Integrity and target orientation is a must.

The candidate should be experienced in field sales / business development with a fair understanding of the financial sector .

Job Description

  • Responsible for revenue achievement, lead generation, pre-sales, negotiations, closure and relationship maintenance
  • Oversee key relationships with lead arrangers, influencers and bankers for large domestic mandates and for regular deal flow
  • Manage/Coach the team for revenue generation, client management and lead generation
  • Develop and monitor client retention strategies for the region
  • Strengthen Acuite’s brand as an analytical organization through various franchise initiatives and industry networking
  • Preparation of business proposals and client presentations
  • Track developments in the key industry/sectors and credit markets


Requirement

  • Existing relationships with players in the debt capital market and hands-on experience of handling such DCM transactions, Debt exposures
  • Understanding of financial statement analysis, which includes analysis of P&L, balance sheet, and key ratios.
  • Knowledge of analyzing and rating companies
  • Business and proposal writing skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Client Relationship management.

Eligibility Criteria

  • MBA / CA / CFA
  • 3-8 years of experience in Credit Rating/Credit risk analysis/Banks /Brokerage house/Merchant Bankers

At that time, credit rating was a concept known only to large issuers of capital market instruments. Along came many achievements - SEBI Registration in 2011, RBI accreditation in 2012, 50,000 ratings in 2018, 5,000 Bond and Bank Loan Ratings in 2017, launch of India's first Android and iPhone app to disseminate rating, tamper-proof QR-code-enabled rating rationales, and SMERA Terminal to name a few.

Now is the time to re-emphasize our increasing footprint across all segments of ratings through the launch of our new name - 'Acuité'.
